Non-Thermal Biological Effect of Graphene Far-Infrared Ray on Saccharomyces cerevisiae Cells

چکیده
Graphene materials can emit far-infrared ray, but the biological effects of graphene ray have not been studied. Furthermore, non-thermal effect on organism has systematically studied independently thermal effect. The purpose this study was to investigate (gFIR) Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells. In work, stringent control cultivation conditions carried out ensure stability and constancy culture its temperature. Flow cytometry used detect gFIR irradiation cell membrane permeability, mitochondrial potential (MMP) intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) content. Compared with group, permeability exposure cells decreased by 4.7%, MMP increased 16% ROS reduced 10.7%. results revealed valuable features cells, further analysis demonstrated that should great application value in disease prevention health promotion.

15 صفحه اولUltrasensitive graphene far-infrared power detectors.
We describe the properties of ultrasensitive graphene photon detectors for use in the far-infrared/terahertz spectral region and present theoretical predictions for their power detection sensitivity. These predictions are based on two graphene contacting schemes with superconducting contacts: contacts with a thin insulating barrier, and direct superconducting contacts. To quantitatively assess ...
متن کاملEffect of Functionalization Process on Thermal Conductivity of Graphene Nanofluids
In this research, Graphene was synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method in atmosphere pressure (14.7 psi). Different functionalization method was used for oxidizing of graphene such as acid and alkaline treatments. The Functionalized graphene (FG) was characterized by FTIR and Raman spectroscopy. Nanofluid with water and different concentration (0.05, 0.15 and 0.25 wt %) of ...
متن کاملExperimental study: Investigation of graphene oxide nanoparticles effect on increasing the thermal effect of ultrasound waves on water for thermal therapy of cancer cells
Background & Aim: Ultrasound hyperthermia with nanoparticles has been regarded as an effective method for localized death of cancerous cells with fewer side effects to the surrounding normal tissues. The aim of this study was to investigate the increasing of water temperature by ultrasound waves in the presence of graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles in order to be used in thermal treatment of can...
متن کاملBiological activities caused by far-infrared radiation.
Contrary to previous presumption, accumulated evidence indicates that far-infrared rays are biologically active. A small ceramic disk that emits far-infrared rays (4-16 microns) has commonly been applied to a local spot or a whole part of the body for exposure. Pioneering attempts to experimentally analyze an effect of acute and chronic radiation of far-infrared rays on living organisms have de...
